FIT, FABRIC, AND FUNCTION.

Our design philosophy is simple, and relies on three major principles: fit, fabric, and function.

Our garments must fit perfectly. A wide shoulder and tapered waist is a hallmark of our signature style for tops and outerwear, and offers an athletic but relaxed silhouette to the wearer. Likewise, our pants and trousers typically offer plenty of leg room, but offer a well shaped seat and the visual appearance of longer, taller legs through the use of a high rise and straight cut leg. By working with and not against the natural body, our garments offer incredibly flattering looks to most wearers, with the precise, clean lines of fine tailoring and robust feeling of armor.

Fabric is the foundation for any great garment, and our fabrics are carefully curated for their functional properties and aesthetic value, usually opting for 100% natural fabrics. This ensures you will be comfortable all day long, so long as you dress for the appropriate weather and occasion. We typically rely on a deep and rustic color palette for its earthy and rich qualities as well.

Garments must be functional, they must have room to breathe, move around, and feel comfortable to work or live every day in. After all, the garment you will wear the most and keep the longest will be the one that is most practical for your lifestyle.

As our customer, you will be pleased to find that each and every one of our garments fully carries these design principles. Take care of your garments, and they will do the same for you.

PRODUCTION

Everything is designed from scratch right here in Modesto, California. We rely on vintage clothing, art, or the natural beauty of the world as a muse our garments.

Designs take anywhere from 8-24 months from concept to completion. Designs sometimes simply don't get done on time or don't make the cut for various reasons, supply chain issues, quality standards, imperfections that cannot be addressed. We refuse to put out trendy items, rushed designs with imperfections, or other nonsense. No bullshit will EVER be sold at this store.

As of current, our garments are primarily produced internationally in various locations and countries, as it is currently difficult to find a production facility domestically with the vast supply chains and capabilities of international suppliers and production facilities.

Our major goal is to eventually work with or own a production facility domestically, in order to have our own in house manufacturing and provide jobs locally.

We work with Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) production facilities overseas to ensure that our garments are made with safe, ethical labor practices and adhere to environmental standards.

However, we emphasize that there is no such thing as "zero emission" new clothing production. Everything that must be made new will leave its own mark on the planet. Clothing should be purchased with regard for the environment, infrequently and methodically. As such, our clothing is produced in small batches, with limited drops and quantities throughout the year. We carry an utmost commitment to reducing our waste as well as giving back to the environment.
